This is a picture of a dairy calf. The calf in this picture will be grown into a mature adult. In order for it to be a mature adult it has to have it's first calf.
This is a picture of a heifer which was probably bread all ready. When she is about a week or two away from having her calf she will start making milk for her young to eat off of. We call this making sack. When this heifer does have her calf we will then leave her calf on her for about a day. Then we take them off their mom. So we start to milk her. We won't ship her milk until it get white. All cow when they come fresh which mean after they have their calf their milk is like yellow. It's yellow because they go dry which mean they stop giving milk to start to save it for their calf's. They go dry about to month's before calf is do.
This picture is a picture of a mature dairy cow. This cow probably has had two to three calves. So far in her life time.
